Both Türkiye as a country and the Turkish metal fasteners and hand tools sector as a promising industry play a crucial role in international economic developments. Compared to manufacturing industries such as the construction, automotive, houseware, electric, electronic, furniture, and other industries, the metal fasteners and hand tools sector appears small but competes big. The sector’s products do not only serve manufacturing industries but also our daily lives.
Constructive Achievements

For the hardware sector, 2019 was a successful year in terms of exports. The sector has achieved successful results every year in every market it has entered and confronted tougher competition abroad that was unable to disrupt its momentum. Exports worth $1.7 billion were achieved by the conclusion of 2019. In 2020 and 2021, our exporters will continue to develop both our country and their companies by finding new markets and participating in fairs abroad.

Appropriate steps are being taken considering that exports are predicted to reach $2 billion in 2021. With the contribution of our merchant-based companies to exports, the sector is moving rapidly towards a yearly increase in export figures and additions to the current account surplus.
